MOTUC Hordak: Leader of the Evil Whor… Horde

You know you’re a pimp when you have your own face plastered on your armor, your staff, AND your cronies’ armor.  Of course,  your also considered an egotistical mad-man when you do those same things.   That’s right, we’re talkin’ about Hordak from Mattel‘s Masters of the Universe Classics.

Ooh, scary! Click below to read what I think about Skeletor‘s dark master.

Masters of the Universe’s answer to Doc Ock! Ock? Ockay?

G’day y’all (and apologies to all Aussies and Texans there).  It’s Novelty from Toy a Day again.  Yes I know, I can hear you groaning and rolling your eyes, but hey, if it’s plastic porno you’re after, well you’ve come to the right place.  You guys do know I have to write about these so that Lemonjuice won’t start mounting his TV set to obtain instant gratification.  Yes, he’s weird, but he’s the boss of this place, so I try to keep him happy… no, not in that way… uhhh…

Anyways, today I’m opening Mecha-Armor He-Man and I thought since I last did a Skeletor review here, I would balance him out with a He-man review.  Yeah, Lemonjuice could do with a He-man.  Uh-huh uh-huh.  But I’m not sure I want to picture what he’d actually do with He-Man.

May: A Grand Worth of Vagabonds!

This site has been up and running for a couple of months now.  I generally write about toys in between working, donating plasma to get free cookies, and robbing liquor stores.  Surprisingly enough, people seem to enjoy reading the nonsense and vitriol that spews from my alcohol-soaked mind as I gripe about plastic effigies…and to that I say “Thank you“.  The views on here have been steadily rising (actually doubling each month so far) which means that at least some of you are repeat offenders…errr, “visitors”.

This month alone I’ve scored over 1000 unique visitors, which might not seem like much; but, it is to me.  Thanks again for the encouragement.  You people ought to be ashamed of yourselves!

The Blog Mash Bash has been pretty successful and I hope all of you have now been reading and Toy a Day religiously.  A big nod of approval and a sweaty handshake goes out to Wes Grogan and Novelty Nostalgia for letting me muck up their sites on occasion.  Also, Articulated Discussion really whored me out with the Website of the Week a while back, and I owe ’em big time.  If you guys are ever in a knife fight with a group of Tibetan pirates, make sure you give me a call and I’ll be there in a jiffy.

So as I sit here trying to get these friggin’ rings to work, you can rest assured knowing that I’m gonna review the hell outta some more toys!

…AND since seeing as how you all love Masters of the Universe reviews, as another “thank you” my next few reviews will all be MOTU based.

The amazing web-slinger… no, not Spiderman… who’s this Webstor?

Hey all, it’s Novelty from Toy a Day and this week, we’re doing Creature Feature week as part of MotU May.  I know Lemonjuice probably has a case of blue balls, what with his talking about wide stances and truck restrooms and metaphorical bodyparts, so I thought I’d do (har har) another blue-skinned figure here on Hobotastic to make Lemonjuice ponder about more blue balls.

Two’fer Review: Iron Man Mark VI

Two! Count em’, two Iron Men!  It’s a battle of epic proportions here people!  I’m sizing up the Marvel Select Mark VI Iron Man against Hasbro‘s own version of the Mark VI from Iron Man 2.

To the victor goes the spoils!…and by “spoils” we’ll assume it’s grain alcohol for ol’ drunky Stark.

Jemm? Really?! :DCUC Wave 15

Holy crap! Mattel has just released images of DC Universe Classics Wave 15.   Apparently, they’ll be K-Mart exclusive for the first month or so before widespread release.  Good for you K-Mart!

Here’s Jemm…ridiculous right? Well, to see some really badass figures, and one more extremely odd one then click below…bitches!

Cap’n Fun!

Oooo….look at you, checkin’ out this site just hopin’ for something new to brighten your day. Well, I’ve got good news and bad news…

The good news: I wrote a fun new review that will blow your socks off!

The bad news: It’s not here. Actually, that’s not really bad news.  It’s on (as part of the Blog Mash Bash) and features a guest reviewer that will surely crush your skulls with his sheer awesomeness!  Click on the link below the pic to be amazed!  Amazed, I tell ya!

Superhero Squad Bucky-Cap: Is It Fun?

Vanilla Ice Ice… Skeletor???

Hey all, it’s Duke Novelty here again, guest blogging on Lemonjuice’s boxcar playgound.  It’s the Royals week on Toy a Day and if you haven’t already read it yet, do check out Randor and Keldor, and yesterday’s guest blog on Is it Fun? Shield Strike He-Man.  Today we take a look at the man Keldor has turned out to be, no, not George W. Bush – that’s a heroic supervillian from another line – I’m talking about Skeletor.

Baldy & Ol’ Boneface: MOTUC Two-Pack

Man-o-man how time flies! I’ve had these figures for a couple of months now, but have just found time to review them.  There’s just been way too much drinkin’ and fightin’ on my plate recently…

Anyway, this is a review for the Mattel‘s Masters of the Universe Classics/DC Universe Classics (Toys R Us exclusive) two-pack of Skeletor and Lex Luthor.

Invincible-y Fun!

I just did a guest post on about one of my favorite comics, Invincible! Click on the link below the pic to check it out. I think you’ll dig it.

Invincible: Is it fun?

*Big thanks to Wes Grogan for the opportunity to review something besides pieces of plastic…a nice change of pace every once in a while.
