The End is Nigh…

…well, for this blog at any rate.

Due to my increasingly busy art schedule with Kidthulhu and the frequency of posts for MTV Geek!, I’ve managed to neglect this site for far too long. Time to put this poor, drunken, sonuvabitch out of it’s misery.

As I sharpen my Killin’ Axe, allow me to thank all of you for taking the time to make this blog such a success. All of the comments, guest reviews, and general views always made this thing worth doing. There were never any ads on here, and all of the reviews on this site were always done out of the love — or intense hatred of toys I purchased and wanted to share with the rest of you.

Lots of alliances have been made through this little site, and one day we shall create a super-team the likes of which will shake the very foundations of the Earth! bitch about toys together once again!

Thanks again for slumming it with me here at Lemonjuice McGee’s Hobotastic Toy Reviews.

Bastards.

DCUC Robin: Feet? Who Needs Em?!

Tragedy strikes!  Yep, I had some serious QC issues with Robin.  Unlike King Hssss, these kinds of quality issues are NOT acceptable and came at the price of the Boy Wonder’s life!  Not only did he lose his feet like an elderly diabetic cake-lover, but his head too came off in quick fashion.  However, the figure is pretty friggin’ great as my love of the original Super Powers toy is through the roof, so I bought another one… and still reviewed him favorably.  Honestly, there’s just no denying how much I like this figure.  Not a sellout, just a sucker for scaled panties and elf shoes!

MOTUC King Hssss: A New Definition of Trouser Snake

Yeah, yeah… I know King Hssss hassss got backwards shoulders!  However, I didn’t notice when doing my review… and neither did a lot of other bloggers.  Sure, shitty quality control issss an aggravation and a problem; but like Roboto, I couldn’t give two shitssss in this case.  Hssss issss not my most beloved MOTUC figure, but he hassss a nice feature with the extra upper body.  I’m much more peeved about the ease at which hissss human torso decides to pop free from hissss waist than I am over hissss shoulder armor.

Shocker Toys’ Motherf**kin’ Maxx!

While this figure has been out for a while, I just scored one recently at the 2011 Toy Fair from Shocker Toys themselves.  It was the display model, so I’m missing a few accessories; but, the inherent coolness of The Maxx still shines through.  Check out the review, and while you’re there, feel free to watch the complete The Maxx Animated Series on the site… for FREE!

Scars N’ Spurs: DCUC Jonah Hex

Damn, I love Jonah Hex!  Not in a ” I wanna slip into him nice and slow as he sleeps” kinda way, but more of a “That is one badass killer and I admire the characters toughness” kinda way.  He’s my favorite figure out of DC Universe Classics Wave 16, and I highly suggest you man up and go buy him… since nothing says you’re a big, burly man like purchasing action figures!  Head over to MTV Geek! to check out the review:

Bow Down to Bow!: MOTUC’s Bow Review

Check out that sweet porn-stache!  Mustache rides for everybody!  Yes, here’s my review for Bow from Mattel‘s Masters of the Universe Classics figures.  I wrote this up right before Toy Fair, but due to the massive tsunami of TF news plus even more reviews, this guy fell into the shuffle.  However, now he’s “out” in all his glory!

B.A. Skeletor: Battle Armored & Bad Ass-er

Battle Armor He-Man was one of the very first reviews I ever did for this site.  Looking at the two side by side, the cussing has fallen away (thanks to requirements for high-falutin’ network stuff) but my photography has definitely been upped.  Anyway, I really dig this Skeletor figure who is one of the Quarterly Bonus Figures for Mattel‘s Masters of the Universe Classics line.  Here’s the link to my review:

Back from the Dead!… and Toy Fair.

My neglect for this little blog is now paramount to abuse!  Really, only 4 updates the entire month of February?! Cripes, I’ve been a lazy fuck!  Well, lazy in the way that I’ve been up to my ears in toy posts for MTV Geek thanks to the spectacle that was The 2011 American International Toy Fair!  Yep, I made the trek to New York City, interviewed and met a bunch of people, hung out at the MTV Geek offices, and avoided being robbed and/or molested.

Instead of making a post for each of the billion articles and video interviews, I’m just gonna put up a link list here to some of them.  A new review or two will be popping up on here exclusively as well in the next week, so stay tuned!  Hit the “More” tab for the link list pals-o-mine!

Escape with Alcatraz: NECA Toys’ Crysis 2 Nanosuit

This figure was one of the few purchases I made while in New York City for Toy Fair.  After seeing him up close at the NECA booth on Sunday, I had to have him!  I reviewed him over at MTV Geek! since they were cool enough to fly me out for the show in the first place… plus they pay me, and a hobos gotta eat!  Click the link for all the ramblings and some pics that I’m pretty partial to as well.

Right vs. Not-So-Right: Shocker Toys’ Tick Action Figures

That’s right, TWO Ticks!  Hell yes!  My ramblings now serve a purpose by putting words into these toy’s mouths!  You should hear how Mucus Tick picks up the ladies — it’s scandalous!   Anyway, I reviewed these two figures after getting copies from the guys at Shocker Toys and Idle Hands during Toy Fair, and now I pass the savings onto you!… and by “savings”, I mean “words”.

Very cool figures, and the variety of the Indie Spotlight Series has me hooked!
